WHAT IS POWER FACTOR

Power Factor is a measure of how effectively the current is being converted into useful work output. A load with a power factor 1.0 represents most efficient loading of suply and a
load with power factor 0.5 represents poor supply or much higher losses in the supply system.

or

Power Factor is the ratio between KW (Kilo-Watt) and the KVA (Kilo-volt-amp).  where KW is the actual load power and
KVA is the apparent load power.
